Vancouver's Stephanie Morand Honoured at VRCA Awards
On October 24th, our Vancouver team had the privilege of celebrating three remarkableEllisDon team members at the Vancouver Regional Construction Awards (VRCA) for their individual contributions to the industry.
Stephanie Morand, Enhanced Inclusion and Development Manager at EllisDon, was awarded the VRCA’s Outstanding Woman in Construction Award, speaking to her impressive leadership and impact in construction.
With a career that began as a structural steel welder, Stephanie's journey has been defined by her commitment to safety, inclusion, and community engagement. At EllisDon, she has spearheaded initiatives like the Enhanced Inclusion and Development Agreement at the New Surrey Hospital, promoting diversity across the workforce. Her work with Nisto’s Anonymized Matched Diversity Analysis has transformed how we collect secure diversity data while protecting individual privacy. In addition, her volunteer efforts with Threads of Life and advocacy within EllisDon’s employee-led groups showcase her passion for empowering others and fostering a safer, inclusive industry. Her dedication inspires us all.
We also want to mention two notable nominees: Cameron McPhaden, Senior Design Manager, EllisDon, and Dustin Victor, Quality Lead, EllisDon.
