National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Today is recognized as National Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day – a day that holds meaning for all of us here in Canada, especially as we continue to learn and grow in our understanding of our country's history with Indigenous Peoples. It is an opportunity for us to reflect on and acknowledge the painful history and ongoing legacy of residential schools. It's a time to honour the lost children and Survivors of these schools, their families, and communities. We are committed to learning, listening, and growing in the spirit of reconciliation.
