EllisDon’s Hammad Chaudhry Named Among Top 40 Under 40 in Construction

Mississauga, ON, December 12, 2022—Hammad Chaudhry, EllisDon’s National Director of Digital Project Delivery, has been named to On-Site Magazine and Site Partners’ Top 40 under 40 in Canada’s construction industry. The third annual awards recognize a new group of exceptional, progressive, and innovative young leaders advancing the construction movement in Canada.

“It is an immense achievement to be named among the top 40 under 40 in the country, and on behalf of EllisDon, we are very proud of Hammad’s recognition,” said Rosemarie Lipman, EllisDon’s Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President, Digital & Data Engineering. “Hammad actively seeks various opportunities to share his innovative ideas; he mentors, leads, speaks on, and teaches about his leadership in VDC and BIM and its application in the industry.”

Hammad joined EllisDon in 2014 as a Project Coordinator spearheading the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes on projects as well as creating and maintaining the Building Information Modeling (BIM) requirements. In 2017, Hammad was promoted to VDC Manager, Western Canada. In this role, he led all VDC and BIM initiatives for the region, and in 2019 Hammad assumed the role of Director, VDC.

At the beginning of 2022, he took on his current role as EllisDon’s National Director of Digital Project Delivery, overseeing the company’s strategic approach to digital construction. His leadership focuses on advancements in EllisDon’s business by integrating and digitizing project delivery. Under Hammad’s leadership, the Digital Project Delivery group matches EllisDon’s projects with cutting-edge, innovative digital solutions.

Hammad has worked on various projects throughout the country, including the Brookfield Place Calgary project, Banff Springs Hotel Conservatory, Penticton Regional Hospital, the Royal Inland Hospital, and the Mathison Hall project. He is a volunteer and advisor to various industry bodies, and not-for-profits focused on construction, technology, BIM, VDC, and IoT, including Formwork Labs and Alberta IoT Centre of Excellence.

Hammad was voted as a Board of Directors for Building Transformations and was listed on the 2022 BuiltWorlds Adoption Leaders 50 List, highlighting the construction industry’s AEC technology adopters, solution providers, and venture capital investors.

This is the third year EllisDon leaders have been recognized on the On-Site and Site Partners’ 40 Under 40 list. The winners are selected by a panel of judges based on professional achievements, innovation, leadership, and community involvement.
