Driving Change: EllisDon's First Toronto Charity Golf Tournament

This past summer saw countless charity events hosted by our EllisDon team. One, held by our Toronto colleagues, holds a special place in the heart of our Senior Vice President and Area Manager of Toronto, Andrew Anderson. The inaugural golf tournament collected a total of $384,550 for Diabetes Canada, which will fuel groundbreaking research and advocacy work.

“Experiencing the support and kindness of my fellow colleagues on that day was a special moment for me. Eleven million Canadians are currently living with diabetes or prediabetes. Chances are very high that diabetes affects you or someone you know. I am personally very familiar with the challenges that diabetics face as I have lived the last 30 years of my life as a Type 1 insulin-dependent diabetic. I have seen and experienced the incredible advances in medicine and technology over these last three decades that help those living with the disease manage it to their full potential. It is organizations like the Diabetes Canada that support the advancement of information, technology, research, policy and advocacy for those affected.”

We look forward to building upon this momentum for 2025 and beyond!
