Breaking Barriers and Shaping the Future: Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day at EllisDon

Today, we celebrate International Women in Engineering Day! At EllisDon, we're proud to have a team of talented and diverse engineers who are breaking barriers and shaping the future of our industry.

Sharmin and Brigid, Designers and EITs (Engineers in Training), on EllisDon's Construction Sciences team, design safe and practical construction hoist systems and scaffold/temporary structures, ensuring compliance with codes and standards. They gain a thorough understanding of industry practices and serve on the Board of Directors for the Access Association of Canada. Collaboration is key as they communicate technical information to diverse stakeholders and provide input to improve designs, troubleshoot, and streamline the process.

Sharmin reminds us to "show them through your work, not just your words," while Brigid encourages us to "not be afraid to pave your own path." Their dedication and expertise are an inspiration to us all.

At EllisDon, we're proud to have a diverse and inclusive team that values the unique perspectives and expertise of every individual. Learn more about our Sharmin and Brigid here.
