As of Oct. 31 2016, the doors to the new International Terminal at YYC Calgary International Airport opened. The project proved to be a challenging one for EllisDon. At nearly 2 million square feett (approx. 34 NFL fields), it has taken over five years, $1.4B , nearly 6000 changes and 11.6 million man hours to complete the massive project — an incredible feat. The construction included a 318-room Marriott Hotel, Plus 30 Bridge linking the Terminal to the P2 Parkade and extensive civil work consisting of a material handling Facility, utility and passenger tunnel, roadway, lift station, generator facility and apron work.The new Terminal is one of the largest single commercial projects in Alberta. It is an outstanding achievement and a great reward for everyone that worked on this project.
