We are listening and are holding ourselves accountable
“We are committed to stop anti-Black racism at EllisDon. At every job site and every area office, we will be placing these posters as a constant reminder for our zero-tolerance on racism and to encourage people to step up and speak up. At EllisDon, we believe everyone has a voice, and we want to hear from our employees and sub-trades. We are listening, and we are committed to making real change.” -Samuel Ajobo, P.Eng, Estimator, Chair of ABEEL, at EllisDon. The Alliance for the Black Employee Experience and Leadership (ABEEL) group within EllisDon has organized a “Say No to Anti-Black Racism” week for the week of October 5, 2020 which includes a survey that will be available on all EllisDon sites across the company. The intent is to provide our employees and members of our subcontractor community a platform to share their experiences and provide suggestions on how to create a more inclusive workplace for members of the Black community and other marginalized groups. To learn more about the steps we are taking as a company to hold ourselves accountable to stop anti-Black racism, click HERE.
