We're excited to share Saeid Ansari, Director of Building Performance & Energy, presented at the National Conference on Building and Facility Operations in downtown Toronto on June 11 & 12 at Trinity College!

Saeid presented his case study based on Royal Inland Hospital, showcasing how EllisDon is using technology to advance commissioning, along with DB Technologies

Data was the main theme presented and its importance was showcased in addition to how it theoretically could be used to build energy efficient buildings. It was exciting to see EllisDon’s British Columbia Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) team exemplify its forward-thinking attitude towards the industry. We identified the importance of data and its use cases and how we successfully implemented a custom-built data analytics program at minimal cost to the project. We also integrated it with our commissioning program to improve the performance of a complex hospital in Interior British Columbia!

Saeid's presentation, "Harnessing Digital Technologies for Commissioning," highlighted key learnings from the Royal Inland Hospital project and how EllisDon is applying these learnings to other projects. The case study showed how technology can play a crucial role in advancing commissioning and improving building performance and energy efficiency.
