We are thrilled to announce EllisDon-Kinetic – A Joint Venture, has been recognized with two prestigious awards at the Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) Awards, now a part of the Vancouver Island Building Industry (VIBI) Awards. On June 1, 2024, we were honored with the Prime Contractor Over $10 Million award, highlighting our exceptional achievements in construction and project management.

This accolade is a testament to the dedication and outstanding work of our UVic Student Housing and Dining (UVic SHD) project team. The UVic SHD project, featuring a state-of-the-art student residence facility and dining hall, has not only set new benchmarks in sustainability and innovation but also stands as one of the largest Passive House projects in Canada. From overcoming intricate design challenges to implementing sustainable practices, our team's commitment to excellence has been instrumental in achieving this milestone.

The second award celebrates Marwa Daer who was named Employee of the Year –a testament to her exceptional leadership, performance, and dedication to the construction industry. Marwa's journey from a co-op student to a Project Manager at EllisDon underscores her ability to manage complex, high-value projects such as the West Calgary Ring Road and the Cowichan District Hospital Replacement, while fostering strong client and subcontractor relationships. Marwa's recognition as a rising star in the industry is well-deserved, and we look forward to her continued contributions to our organization's success.
