Pushing ahead and being innovative
In Toronto we're pushing ahead and taking big leaps forward into new areas.
Toronto is the beta site for forward thinking in the construction industry. It's a place for testing new materials, new delivery methods, and is a breeding ground for new technology.
One of the best examples of this forward thinking is the success of the William Osler Health Centre which was one of the first Alternative Finance Procurement (AFP) projects in Canada. At the time, no other construction company knew how to successfully execute an AFP project.
But we pushed ahead and had the resources in place to develop a delivery method to accommodate this project. EllisDon's success with this project played no small part in this delivery method becoming the norm across Canada.
At the heart of our Toronto location is our people. Here, some of the best minds in the country, including employees in our Engineering, Research & Development and Quality Assurance departments, as well as on-site veterans, are dedicated to solving some of the most current problems in the construction industry.
In fact, many of EllisDon's innovations are spearheaded out of the Toronto office. Because if it works in this city, EllisDon, and the construction industry as a whole, benefits from this success.
There is no doubt the construction world is changing. And in Toronto we're proactively embracing change by taking big leaps forward and finding better ways to do things.
We're pushing beyond what comes easy today so that tomorrow we can solve almost any client problem. It makes for an exciting environment!
