In today's Web 2.0 environment, finding innovative ways to harvest, process and store data has never been more critical. Between financial transactions, social networking, and smartphone adoption, data flow is fast and furious. And it needs to be protected. Building data centres to house and guard all this information is a complex job. How do we know? Because we're currently working on six of these highly specialized centres, and we're positioning services to lead the data centre building industry in Canada.

Driven by Data

EllisDon is known for projects that wow, architecturally. But the data centres we construct? Nothing extraordinary about them – at least not on the outside. They're built to "blend in". But inside is a different story. We use Building Information Modeling (BIM) to ensure the building's intricacies, from technology to security, are visualized during preconstruction. We build as green as possible. Every data centre EllisDon builds focuses on sustainability, employing innovations like solar arrays to offset power consumption and free air-cooling systems to reduce costs. And we're investing heavily in expertise to better meet demand, with the development and hiring of employees with strong technical skills, and through North American strategic alliances, which bring the best to each project.
